Casa Lavi was born from two concepts that merged into one.

After years of searching for meaning and identity, a husband and wife - born in Mexico - discovered a deep and ancient connection to the Land of Israel. They discovered a sense of profound belonging and a mission to return to what really feels like home. Leaving their old life behind, and without looking back, they made aliyah to Israel, the land of their ancestors. After thousands of years of longing to return, it was like a dream come true.

Today, they feel a responsibility to take the positive things that they learned back in America, and share them in Israel. Casa Lavi is the result of this profound will to connect to the land and its people.

Casa is home in Spanish and it represents the desire to receive and to create a feeling of home; it is represented by the feminine. Lavi is lion in biblical Hebrew and it represents the heart that desires to give goodness; it is represented by the masculine. The intention of this combination is to produce healthy fruits that nurture our awareness of The One.

Casa Lavi strives to give food that is flavorful and healthy. The place, the people, and the food are represented by Casa. The casa was designed with an intention to blend into the subtle beauty of Jerusalem through light desert colors. The casa is built with nearly all natural materials in order to make it feel like it is breathing and alive. The people are the soul of the place; the workers represent the casa lavi ideals of kindness and hospitality while the clients bring diversity and blessing. The food is prepared with healthy, alternative ingredients in order to create nourishing, delicious dishes.

The coffee, represented by Lavi, comes from some of the highest quality farms in the world, where the people and the land are treated kindly and fairly. This comes together with special coffee varieties, and knowledge in coffee processing and healthy cultivation. In essence, this is what “specialty coffee” is. At Casa Lavi we try to take one of the most common drinks in the world, coffee, and elevate it to a higher nourishing experience.
